Facts You May Not Know About Justin Jones
Justin Jones, 31, aka Jonesy, is a laid back bloke that loves nothing more than going on an adventure. He loves the outdoor life and tries to cram as many experiences into the short time that we all have on this planet. Getting out and about gives him the means to live life to the fullest.
Jonesy has a meticulous eye for detail, a passion to develop robust expedition systems and strong risk management leadership. He is passionate about getting people out into the outdoors and having their own adventures
He possesses an uncanny ability to push through pain when things get nasty; once running 88km of an ultra-marathon with a broken leg!
Justin has completed a Bachelor of Advanced Science with Honours in Physiology at the University of New South Wales, after attending Knox Grammar School in Sydney, before deciding against a life of academia and opting for one of adventure! He has also attained further qualifications with Diplomas in Event Management and Outdoor Recreation.
Jonesy can also add documentary producer and director to his repertoire; having produced the Crossing the Ditch documentary and produced/directed the Crossing the Ice documentary. The two films have now won over a dozen international film awards – not bad for someone with no formal training in the film industry. He also starred and worked as an executive producer on the National Geographic Channel's "Surviving Wild America" special.
Apart from being an avid outdoorsman, he is also a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and spearfishing fanatic.
He currently resides in Bondi with his wife, Lauren.
